One of the greatest parts about living on a farm is the rural lifestyle. While others may not appreciate a 25-minute drive to high school or a 45-minute drive to a grocery store, growing up in a rural area undoubtedly has made me who I am today. I will always treasure my childhood evenings spent riding through our fields on the banks of the Susquehanna River on the back of my dad’s pick-up truck “looking for deer.” Nothing compares to the serene silence of living among nature when all you can hear are the crickets and bull frogs.
