Farm Life Blessing #9

Guest writer: Doug Sattazahn

Today I am thankful for the opportunity to work with animals on a daily basis. Though they can cause the occasional headache (giving birth at 1:00 a.m., for example), raising dairy cows is usually very satisfying. I particularly enjoy seeing a barn full of cows laying down and contentedly chewing their cud. It makes you realize that all the effort you put into taking care of them is worth it when the cows are happy. I try to remember that those cows are my livelihood, so taking care of them is really taking care of yourself.
