Farm Life Blessing #11

Guest writer: Doug Sattazahn

This Veteran’s Day, I am thankful for all those that have served our country.  Although I feel agriculture is a fundamental necessity to our country in many ways, none of what I do would be possible without the freedom we enjoy here. The veterans who fought for freedom, and those who never made it home, have allowed agriculture to flourish in America. Freedom has led to innovation and advancement in agriculture, which has translated further into the safe, affordable and diverse food supply that we enjoy today.

I think the military and agriculture are two things a lot of people take for granted in their everyday lives.  So today, thank our veterans for their service.  Tomorrow, thank a farmer for taking advantage of the freedom those veterans fought for.

Thank you to all who have served, and those who didn’t make it back.
