Farm Life Blessing #20

We often hear about the increasing age of farmers. In fact, according to the USDA’s 2007 Census of Agriculture, the average age of American farmers is 57 and has been climbing for more years than I have been alive. While this is certainly a concern, I am confident that today’s young and beginning farmers are up for the challenge. After spending yesterday interacting with 100+ young and beginning farmers from Pennsylvania and beyond, there is no doubt that these farmers have drive and determination to feed the world, and I am proud to say that I am one of them.
